The Japanese Preparatory Course for International Students, commonly known as “ryugaku-sei bekka” in Japan, is a program designed for non-native Japanese speakers who wish to improve their Japanese language skills in order to pursue higher education at Japanese universities or vocational schools. The program provides Japanese language education and also offers opportunities to learn about Japanese culture and society. It serves as a preparatory step for international students before they enter regular undergraduate or graduate programs at Japanese institutions.

星槎道都大学 （北海道北広島市）
星槎道後大学の留学生別科は、日本の大学や大学院への進学をめざしている留学生に向いています。日本語能力試験1級もしくは2級の合格を目指し、進学用の留学生試験の対策をするためのカリキュラムが組まれています。
日本医療大学 恵み野キャンパス（北海道恵庭市）
日本医療大学の留学生別科は、医療や福祉分野で進学を考えている留学生に向いています。
文教大学 （北海道恵庭市）
文教大学の留学生別科は、国際社会のなかで、医療や栄養などの分野に興味があり、実践的な日本語学修能力の修得を志す学生に向いています。
